Dr. Handle’s is a store centered on wild materials, creativity, and sustainability. Homemade and all-natural salves, soaps, teas & tinctures are made from sustainably sourced local materials in the Appalachian Plateau of the Southern Tier of New York. The physical store also houses showings & sales for visiting artists & fossil preparators.
Wild & Organic-farmed Herbs
We carry an ever-growing and shifting array of organic-grown & foraged wild herbs. Located in the Southern Tier of western New York, we spend hours searching for remote locations to legally harvest native and introduced flowers, leaves, and fruit for medicinal purposes. We also have two farming locations, a sprawling open field and a woodland location where we grow plants that are rare in the wilds of our area.
Soaps, Salves, & Balms
Dr. Handle's carries 4 types of soaps: Goat's Milk, Heavy Cream, Tallow, and for special occasions, Double Butter Body Bars (Buttermilk & Cocoa Butter). Our handmade, all-natural salves and balms. We have 2 product lines in salves, completely plant-based and tallow-based for humans and their fur friends.

Proprietor, Dr. Kimberly Meehan (nee Handle), is a formally-trained paleoecologist, artist, and author. After over a decade of teaching & research at institutions of higher learning, she has pivoted back to her passions: art, oddities, and herbal products made and sold from her home in the Village of Cuba, New York.
REFUNDS & RETURNS
If you are not satisfied with your product we welcome you to contact us within 30 days of delivery by emailing the owner directly at dr.handlesshop@outlook.com. Full refunds are available for defective or damaged products. For full refund on defective or damaged products, we will issue you an electronic return label at no cost to you, once item is returned to us, then the refund will be issued.
BILLING & PURCHASE POLICIES
Full payment is expected upon the sale of product(s). No additional billing for products is ever applied.
We accept all major credits cards and PayPal for online purchase, and cash at our physical location. We do not accept personal checks.
SHIPPING
Product handling time for shipments is 24 hours unless otherwise noted. Please note that shipping costs are calculated by USPS and other carriers and are applied at the time of sale.
